PILL Continuing Education
Pharmaceutical Institute of Learning and Leadership offers a Scholarship Award Program to ensure its commitment to the continuing education of pharmacy technicians. PILL seeks to give pharmacy technicians the chance to excel in their field and participate in CE workshops and conferences. The scholarship is also available to Certified Pharmacy technicians to cover license renewal fees and re certification fees otherwise not afforded to them. The PILL Pharmacy Technician Continuing Education Scholarship Award Program supports PILL’s commitment to supporting pharmacy technicians on their professional development journey. This scholarship is available to individuals enrolled in a program pursuing a diploma or associate degree in Pharmacy Technology, as well as individuals pursuing continuing education while practicing as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Scholarship Program’s mission is to promote formal education and training for individuals aspiring to become Pharmacy Technicians and/or continue their pharmacy education. PILL provides three scholarship programs for applicants. The Continuing Education Scholarship program, The Continuing Education Conference Scholarship program, and the License/Re-certification Scholarship program. Each program is applicable to reimbursement after receiving confirmation of applicant’s payment.
Eligibility for All scholarship program applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Any former or current students of PILL are eligible.
2. The applicant must be a practicing certified pharmacy technician seeking continuing education specific to pharmacy technician practice.
3. Previous recipients of this award are not eligible to apply a second time.
4. Applicants must submit a 1-page narrative detailing their career as a technician and desire to receive the scholarship.
Awards One (1) Continuing Education Conference Scholarship up to $150 based on monies available in the Scholarship Fund.
Awards Three (3) continuing education scholarship awards of up to $80 based on monies available in the Scholarship Fund. Two (2) license/certification renewal scholarship awards of up to $80. These scholarships are offered to individuals who meet eligibility.

Complete the PILL Continuing Education Scholarship Award Program application
Submit proof of successful completion of pharmacy technician-specific continuing education
Mail the above-mentioned documents to the address on the application with a postmark no later than June 30th of the application year.
Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated according to the information provided; therefore, it is important to make sure all requirements are as complete as possible.
Selection of Recipients Scholarship recipients are selected by the PILL Executive Board based on PILL’s assessment of each applicant’s work experience as well as quality and content of the personal narrative. All applicants will be notified by email before the end of July of the application year, whether-or-not they have been selected to receive an award.
Disbursements of Scholarships Payments are administered by the PILL Treasurer. The one-time payment of the awarded amount is processed in August of the application year. Checks are mailed or may be presented in person by a PILL Representative. Checks are made payable directly to the selected individual(s) after review and verification of required documentation. Disbursements may be made directly to the corresponding application agency.
PILL reserves the right to amend or terminate the Scholarship Program at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. This document will govern in the event of any differences between it and any other communication related to the Scholarship Program. The provisions of this Scholarship Program document are subject to interpretation by the PILL Executive Board whose interpretation will be final and binding. There is no guarantee that any scholarship will be awarded under the Scholarship Program. If it is found that the terms of the award was violated, the recipient will be barred from receiving any other award that may be offered in the future of the program or institutional promotion.
